Deputy Prime Minister receives Rotary International delegation

Manama, Dec. 1 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received a delegation from the Rotary International headed by its President Shekhar Mehta and his wife Rashi Mehta, and Rotary International Director Katerina Kotsali. The deputy prime minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Rotary International in serving societies by adopting many humanitarian and social issues that affect the lives of peoples. He stressed that the Kingdom has supported these efforts by hosting many conferences, referring to the 8th District 2452 Conference that was held last June under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The delegation expressed their gratitude to HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak for his support for the Rotary’s initiatives of Clubs and his vital role in establishing the first Rotary International in Bahrain in 1965.
