Finance and National Economy Minister receives Rotary International President

Manama, Dec. 1 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa today received Rotary International headed President Shekhar Mehta and his wife Rashi Mehta. He praised the outcome of the 8th International Rotary 2452 District Conference which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He highlighted the events and activities hosted by the Rotary International worldwide as well as efforts to serve communities and promote humanitarian work. He underlined historic relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Rotary International, especially after opening a branch in Bahrain 1965, which was the first in the Arabian Gulf region. The two sides discussed issues of common concern and latest developments regarding the global economy and the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Mehta.
