Russian Parliamentary delegation arrives in Bahrain

Manama, Dec. 4 (BNA): A Russian parliamentary delegation led by Chairwoman of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Valentina Matvienko arrived today on a three-day official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal welcomed the delegation at the Bahrain International Airport, in the presence of First and Second Deputy Speaker and Secretary General. During the visit, the Russian delegation will discuss ways of bolstering parliamentary cooperation and have an idea about Bahrain’s development strides in light of the reform and democratic process led by His Majesty King Hamad Al Khalifa. The two sides will hold a session of official talks tomorrow, Sunday. A memorandum of understanding aimed to strengthen parliamentary cooperation will also be inked. The Russian parliamentary delegation will hold meetings with state officials and visit monuments and development projects and landmarks.
