POLICE ARREST HUMAN TRAFFICKER
Bandarlampung, May 21 (ANTARA) - Police have arrested Fifit (24) and Sunarti (43) for allegedly selling a woman from Lampung to be employed as a sex worker in Riau province, police said.
"We have detained the two suspects since Monday after we received a report from Edi Yusuf (30), husband of a victim Rn (29)," head of the Criminal Investigation Department of Bandarlampung Police Headquarters, Senior Commissioner Namora Simanjuntak said here on Wedenday.
He said that Rn's husband reported to police on Thursday (May 14) that Fifit was trying to sell his wife to Sunarti.
"Fifit promised that Rn would be employed in a toy shop in Pekanbaru, but Rn was sold to Sunarti, a pimp in a red district in Riau province," Simanjuntak said.*
