Speaker: Saudi Crown Prince's visit to deepen Bahraini-Saudi relations, partnership

Manama, Dec. 9 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has lauded the official visit of the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud, to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She stressed that the visit would further strengthen the deep-rooted robust relations between the two brotherly countries, enhance their complementarity, embody their distinguished strategic partnership and deepen their solid fraternal bonds, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
She indicated that the cooperation between the two kingdoms is on the right track, and will yield more fruitful results thanks to directives of their leaderships, as well as the efforts of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the Saudi Crown Prince, to strengthen the frameworks of bilateral consultations and coordination in order to increase joint achievements.
She pointed out that the Bahraini-Saudi relations are exemplary, citing their coordinated stances vis-à-vis regional and global issues, in addition to their cooperation in combating terrorism, supporting efforts to establish a zone free of weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East region and activating joint GCC and Arab action.
Speaker Zainal affirmed that HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit would deepen relations and cooperation between the two kingdoms across various fields, based on their shared fundamentals, visions and long-standing ties.
The Speaker asserted that the security of Bahrain and that of Saudi Arabia are integral, adding that efforts to enhance the two countries’ strategic partnership across various fields reflect their keenness to strengthen their complementarity.
She reiterated Bahrain’s firm stance in solidarity with Saudi Arabia, and unwavering support for its efforts to confront the terrorist attacks launched by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia, noting that Saudi Arabia is the strategic depth of Bahrain, as well as that of the Arab and Islamic nations, thanks to its leading role in safeguarding the security and stability of the region, and supporting the global economy.
She affirmed the keenness of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives and the Saudi Shura Council to broaden bilateral relations, enhance bilateral complementarity and coordinate stances at regional and international parliamentary gatherings, drawing inspiration from the visions and directives of the two kingdoms’ leaderships.
