Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt attends National Day celebration

Cairo, Dec. 14 (BNA): Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder, participated today in the celebration held by the Good Word Society in collaboration with the Arab Voluntary Union, under the patronage of Good Word Society Honorary President, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa.
The ceremony was held at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, on the occasion of the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne and the National Day.
Al Jowder extended his utmost congratulations on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebration of its national holidays on December 16-17, and affirmed his pride as a Bahraini citizen in the achievements made by the leadership of His Majesty the King, which led the Kingdom of Bahrain to further development and prosperity.
He also noted his pride in representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in Egypt and the Arab League, with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s long-standing record in establishing international relations on the basis of respect for state sovereignty, good neighborliness, and the consolidation of regional and international security and peace, as a consistent approach in its foreign policy.
He said that Bahrain, thanks to the wise policy of His Majesty the King, and his government headed by His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, affirms its adherence to its principles and values and its ancient civilized history, strengthening Gulf unity, advocating Arab and Islamic rights, strengthening international partnership on firm foundations of openness, moderation and respect for international conventions.
He underlined Bahrain’s keenness on strengthening dialogue between civilizations and cultures, combating extremism and terrorism, and supporting sustainable development in the region and the world.
A number of senior officials and a group of representatives of foreign organizations, NGOs, civil society and various media outlets also attended the celebration.
