iGA chief expresses pride in royal honour

Manama, Dec. 17 (BNA): Chief Executive Officer of the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA), Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed, has extended sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on granting him the “Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit”.
The medal was given on the occasion of the kingdom’s National Days, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini State as an Arab and Muslim state, founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.
iGA chief affirmed that the royal honouring is a source of pride for all iGA affiliates, and a catalyst for them to continue serving the nation, through adopting more digital initiatives that would contribute to confronting the pandemic and achieving more prosperity and well-being for the citizens and residents.
He added that iGA’s achievements and pioneering digital projects are the outcomes of HM the King’s vision, and the directives of Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting that iGA’s initiatives have contributed to mitigating the negative effects of the pandemic, including the launch of the BeAware app, speeding up the pace of digital transformation and remote work.
