NREAP, NEEAP initiatives highlighted

Manama, Jan. 10 (BNA): Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) President Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza reviewed pioneering solutions and services that integrate renewable energy resources and technologies into urban development in order to achieve sustainability, help reduce carbon footprint, and contribute positively to the overall efforts made to achieve the national renewable energy goals and zero-carbon goals. In a virtual meeting with a delegation from the Green Energy Company, a member of the 6 Pence Group, headed by Talal Al Tahou, Mirza highlighted the most prominent features of the sustainable energy sector and addressed the important dimensions of SEA's vision and mission. He provided an overview of the renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives in the National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP) and the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) - the main reference for investment plans and projects in this sector. Mirza also touched on the initiatives and projects that SEA is working to achieve in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning and relevant authorities. Al Tahou stressed the company's keenness on cooperation with SEA to fulfill plans and visions for the urban development sector.
