Bahrain-France diplomatic relations golden jubilee celebrated

Manama, Feb. 16 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, praised the strong and growing relations between Bahrain and France. In a speech marking the inauguration of a programme to celebrate the golden jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries hosted at the residence of French Ambassador to Bahrain Jérôme Cauchard, the Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs expressed pride in the close partnership between the two countries. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah highlighted the growth of trade exchange between both countries in light of the efforts to explore more promising investment opportunities. He noted the positive role played by the two countries in maintaining regional and global security. The French ambassador stressed Bahrain’s strategic importance in the region and its pioneering role in achieving peace and stability. During the celebration, the Undersecretary for Political Affairs and the French ambassador honoured many personalities who contributed to promoting bilateral relations. Ambassador Cauchard also conferred the "Medal of Honour" on Dr. Shaikh Abdullah in appreciation of his outstanding contributions to consolidating relations and cooperation between the two countries.
