Finance and National Economy Minister receives WCO Secretary-General

Manama, Feb. 24 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received today the Secretary-General of the World Customs Organisation (WCO), Dr. Kunio Mikuriya. Customs Chief and WCO President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the meeting. The minister hailed WCO-led efforts to develop customs work mechanisms which contribute to consolidating world trade, stressing Bahrain’s keenness on enhancing joint cooperation. He underscored the importance of adopting best customs practices to support vital sectors, economic development and global trade.
