Shura Chairman receives Indonesian Ambassador

Manama, Mar. 1 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received the newly appointed Indonesian Ambassador Ardi Hermawan. The chairman wished him success in performing his diplomatic duties. He affirmed the advanced Bahraini-Indonesian relations and the cooperation in the commercial and economic sectors. Al Saleh said that the Council is keen to enhance cooperation in legislative work, especially regarding issues in regional and international parliamentary forums. The ambassador expressed his pride in the remarkable development of bilateral relations in various fields and praised the Council’s efforts in strengthening them. He conveyed the greetings of the People's Representative Council Speaker and the invitation to participate in the work of the 144th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) that will be held in Indonesia in March.
