HH the Amir Cup: Al Gharafa Qualifies for the Final

Doha, March 14 (QNA) - Al Gharafa team succeeded in qualifying for the final of HH the Amir Football Cup after defeated Al Wahrah 4-1 in the confrontation that brought the two teams together this evening at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Al Sadd Club in the semi-finals of the competition. The start of the match was cautious between the two teams for fear of receiving an early goal, but despite that, the advantage was in favor of Al Gharafa, as it sometimes tried to penetrate the areas of Al Wakrah. At the 8th minute, Al Gharafa managed to score the first goal through Brazilian Gabriel Peres, who fired a powerful ball into the net. Al Wakrah managed to equalize in the 35th minute through striker Jacinto Dalla. The two teams continued their quest to score, until striker Sheikh Diabate, managed to score the third goal for his team in the 39th minute. The first half ended with Al Gharafa advancing with two goals against one goal for Al Wakrah. In the second half of the match, Al Gharafa players managed to maintain their superiority and advance by scoring the third goal in the 57th minute through Sheikh Diabati, who took advantage of the mistake of Al Wakrah goalkeeper, who failed to remove the ball. Al Wakrah's defense continued its mistakes, so Hammam Al Amin scored the fourth goal of Al Gharafa in the 69th minute, to end the match with Al Gharafa winning 4-1 over Al Wakrah. (QNA)
