Qatar Team to Participate in Artistic Gymnastics World Cup

Doha, March 14 (QNA) - The Qatari national team will participate in the Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by Egypt from 17-20 March, with the participation of 281 men and women players representing 35 countries. The Qatari football team's delegation, which will include player Rakan Al Harith, Coach Oleg Anderchec and Physiotherapist Issam Abu odeh, will leave on Tuesday to Cairo to participate in the competition. Rakan Al Harith has completed his preparations to participate in the championship under the supervision of the Qatari Gymnastics Federation. For her part, Abeer Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Qatar Gymnastics Federation and head of the technical committee, confirmed that player Rakan Al-Harith prepared well for the tournament through his participation in the World Cup of Artistic Gymnastics hosted by Doha during the period from 2 to 5 March, as well as the training camp for two morning and evening shifts. She added: "The Technical Committee of the Federation conducted a technical test on March 10 to determine the extent of Rakan's readiness to compete in the tournament, which is expected to witness strong competition between the participating countries. Al Buainain explained that the Qatar Gymnastics Federation is keen to provide the best capabilities to prepare the team's players for various tournaments, as well as continuous moral support, which contributed to our teams achieving good results in previous tournaments at the Arab, Asian and international levels. She pointed out that the tournament is considered one of the valuable opportunities that add more international experience to the players as a result of the strong friction. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation will hold a press conference tomorrow in Cairo to announce the details of the tournament. (QNA)
