Participants in ARABOSAI Meeting in Doha Affirm its Importance for Upgrading Capabilities of Control Bodies of Member States
Doha, March 20 (QNA) - Assistant -President for Performance Control and Compliance at the at the State Audit Bureau Jassim Abdulaziz Al Mannai, said that the term of the presidency of the Audit Bureau of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) witnessed many developments and initiatives that contributed to the advancement of ARABOSAI and the enhancement of human capabilities in the regulatory bodies in the member states.
Jassim Abdulaziz Al Mannai said, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), on the occasion of the start of the 63rd meeting of the executive council of the ARABOSAI in Doha, which will last for three days, that the Presidency of the Audit Bureau of the Arab Organization, which started from 2019 to 2022, has been widely appreciated and praised by the countries of the ARABOSAI organization, thanks to the great work and efforts that have been made to advance the organization.
Al Mannai affirmed that the State Audit Bureau, during its presidency of the ARABOSAI, put forward many new initiatives and projects, which contributed to the development of the work system in the organization, especially in the field of online training and education during the Coronavirus pandemic. This allowed the continuation of the implementation of business and development programs, and helped in upgrading the human capabilities of the supreme control bodies of the member states of the organization.
For his part, Second Vice-President of the Executive Council of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), Hussam bin Abdul Mohsen Al Anqari stressed the importance of the 63rd meeting of the ARABOSAI, which started Sunday to discuss the files of the strategic plan set by the organization and to follow up on its implementation.
Al Anqari said in a similar statement to QNA that the meeting pays great attention to professional standards and training programs that are approved by the member states of the organization during their implementation of their work plans through certified trainers, praising the integration between the various accounting offices in the member states of the organization and the great coordination between them, explaining that the decisions that will be issued after the meeting will be linked to the expansion of training programs among the member states of the organization.
In turn, Representative Member of the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman Khalfan bin Nasser Al Hasni stressed the importance of joint work among the member states of the ARABOSAI Organization with the aim of enabling the employees of these agencies to carry out their work and protect public funds and national resources, expressing his confidence in the organization's ability to create opportunities to develop the performance of the supervisory bodies of its member states.
Al Hasni added, in a similar statement to QNA, that the organization succeeded in developing many programs and projects that helped to overcome the effects of this pandemic, allowing the control bodies to continue their work with the required effectiveness, noting the broad coordination between the member states of the organization and the continuous exchange of experiences between them.
