Chairman of DIMDEX 2022 Organizing Committee Says Attendance Exceeded Expectations

Doha, March 21 (QNA) - Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari said that the 7th DIMDEX witnessed a presence that exceeded expectations and was admired and praised by the participating delegations. In a statement on the sidelines of the opening ceremony, Brigadier Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari pointed out that the volume of participation in this edition is the largest since the launch of DIMDEX in 2008, with nearly 200 companies participating, the vast majority of which are foreign, including leading international companies that were keen on active and strong participation and not just symbolic participation, which confirms the great confidence that these international companies have now attached to the exhibition, and that they see a positive return from this participation. He pointed out that six defense ministers and 14 chiefs of staff from brotherly and friendly countries participated in the opening ceremony. The total number of participating official delegations from defense ministers, chiefs of staff, and commanders of forces reached 85 delegations, which exceeds the volume of participation in similar international exhibitions and reflects the strength of relations that links Qatar with other countries. Brigadier Al Ansari noted that the 7th DIMDEX is distinguished with the large participation of Qatari companies, which reached 46 companies, most notably Barzan Holdings, which includes under its umbrella many other military companies, stressing that there are many deals and memoranda of understanding that will be signed in the three-day exhibition. The Armed Forces are organizing the seventh edition of DIMDEX 2022 under the slogan "The most prominent international event for the communication of security and defense professionals," over three days at the Qatar National Convention Center, with the participation of major international companies in the field of maritime security.
