Abai’s biography is added to the “Life of outstanding people” book series
Astana, May 26, 2009 (Khabar) - A biography of Abai Kunanbayev, the great son of the Kazakh steppe has joined the “Life of outstanding people” book series. The work of the famous Russian writer, critic and professor of the Moscow State University Nikolay Anastasiyev, the book’s author has attended a presentation in Astana. Previously, Anastasiyev wrote a book about the creative activity of Abdizhamil Nurpeisov and a biographical work about Mukhtar Auezov also belongs to one of his creations.

- The “Life of outstanding people” is a remarkable library which has been published for 120 years in a row. The first books of this series appeared as long ago as during the lifetime of the great Abai whom this book is being dedicated to and presented today. Throughout this time, a good number of states have appeared and disappeared from the world map, many classic writers of the world literature were born and gained recognition, including the author of the famous epic novel “Abai’s way” Mukhtar Auezov. And today, Abai has taken a worthy place among this brilliant and talented group of outstanding people of our planet. I’m truly happy about this fact and I would like to express my gratitude to the author for this fabulous book.

- I was amazed by the convergence of his thoughts and his edification words with works of a similar genre which were written long before him in different places. I was struck by the fact of the existence of such a classic of world literature. Aleksey German once said that geniuses of the whole world stand holding hands and an invisible quiver of recognition runs through this circle. This was Abai’s connection with people he never knew nor heard about and that was what really amazed me.
