Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce Affirms Qatar's Keenness to Contribute to Success of Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan

Doha, March 22 (QNA) - HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater expressed the State of Qatar's happiness to participate and contribute, along with many brotherly and friendly countries and regional and international organizations, to the success of the Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan, based on the distinguished historical and cultural relations that bind it with the friendly country of Japan, which is currently witnessing further growth and development in all fields. This came during the participation of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in the reception organized by the Japanese Embassy in the country, on the occasion of inaugurating the State of Qatar's pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka in the Japanese city of Osaka, in the presence of HE Ambassador of Japan to the State of Qatar Satoshi Maeda, and members of the preparation committee for the State of Qatar's participation in Expo, in addition to several CEOs of Japanese companies in Doha. In his speech on the occasion, HE Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater pointed to the development of relations between the State of Qatar and Japan, as this is embodied on the economic level through the steady growth of trade exchange and the flow of investments in industrial and development projects, including the energy sector, construction, health, sports, security, education, research, and development. His Excellency also affirmed that the participation of the State of Qatar in this global event, Expo 2025 Osaka, comes from its belief in the importance of the Expo's theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," which also aligns with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030. The World Expo 2025 Osaka will be held from April 13 to Oct. 13, 2025, under the theme "Designing a Future Society for Our Lives," in addition to programming three sub-themes of the exhibition's slogan, which are saving lives, enabling and connecting life through diversely adopting a healthy life, and providing sustainable socioeconomic systems by creating future technology such as robotics, technologies, and artificial intelligence to work in the service of humanity. The activities and events, which are in line with the exhibition theme, are in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to achieve a diverse, inclusive and sustainable society.
