Chairman of DIMDEX Organizing Committee Highlights Important Events and Activities on Second Day

Doha, March 22 (QNA) - Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari said that the second day of the exhibition was full of important events and bilateral meetings between Qatari military officials and the participating delegations, in addition to the most prominent event, which is the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC). In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Chairman of DIMDEX Organizing Committee added that the second day also witnessed the signing of six Qatari deals included agreements, contracts, memoranda of understanding and letters of intent; noting that the deals were not limited to the Armed Forces but also included Qatar University and Hamad Bin Khalifa University in an indication of the diversity of areas covered by DIMDEX and the categories and institutions that benefit from it. Al Ansari explained that DIMDEX 2022 Organizing Committee offers many facilities to the exhibiting companies to motivate them to continue participating in the upcoming editions of this major event in light of the large number of defense and military exhibitions in the region. He noted that producing companies always seek to expand their activities and reach new markets, and this is what the Organizing Committee provides by gathering the largest number of delegations, companies and decision makers, and facilitating meetings between them. He underlined the Committee's keenness to check on the exhibitors and listen to their views, suggestions and complaints about the organization, services and facilities provided, noting that everyone expressed satisfaction and great praise for the efforts made in this regard. He added that DIMDEX is concerned with the latest technologies in the naval military field, while the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference reviews security plans and challenges facing countries in protecting their maritime security; therefore, DIMDEX plays an integrated role by combining the latest technology in maritime defense and discussing with decision-makers and specialists, and linking them to achieve maritime security and face challenges. The Chairman of DIMDEX Organizing Committee Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari noted that an entertainment day will be organized for the crews participating in the visiting warships on the closing day of the exhibition, Wednesday morning, in addition to many sports events and competitions that will be organized at Al Wakra Sports Club.
