Al-Raya Praises Qatar's Leadership in the Field of Electricity

Doha, March 25 (QNA) - Al-Raya said that Qatar's selection as the chair the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity during the 14th session of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity and the 37th meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity held in Doha, reflects the country's leadership in the field of electricity. The paper added that the selection was in recognition of the State of Qatar's the great keenness to support efforts to achieve complete Arab integration into the electricity sector. One of those efforts was hosting the 7th General Conference of the Arab Union of Electricity. The paper also said that the presence of a dependable Arab electricity grid will have major positive impacts on the region, and will play an important role in the prosperity of its countries. Al-Raya concluded with the remarks made by HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi following the selection, in which he said that Qatar will work to bear, in order to develop the work of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity with the aim of achieving the desired qualitative shift in the way towards achieving and strengthening energy security for all Arab countries, as well as to work on the development of the electricity sector in the Arab homeland to ensure a prosperous future for all peoples.
