Al-Watan Criticizes Israeli Occupation's Practices in Palestinian Territories

Doha, March 25 (QNA) - Al-Watan dedicated its Friday editorial to discussing the report presented by the UN Security Council on human rights conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories. The paper criticized the Israeli occupation's practices in Palestinian territories, describing it as apartheid. Al-Watan said that Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 Michael Lynk has also said that conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories could be described as apartheid, calling on international institutions to address that issue and empower the Palestinian people. Al-Watan said that the recent report echoed a similar one released by Amnesty International, which said that the Israeli occupation is engaging in apartheid against Palestinian. The organization called on the International Criminal Court to look into these charges, calling on all countries to interrogate all suspects committing these crimes on a daily basis and bring them to justice.
