Friendly Matches in Qatar: Qatar Football Team Beat Bulgaria 2-1

Doha, March 26 (QNA) - The Qatar national football team beat its Bulgarian counterpart 2-1 in the international friendly match that brought them together on Saturday at Education City Stadium, as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Akram Afif gave the Qatari team the lead in the 27th minute from the penalty mark, Boualem Khoukhi added the second goal in the 74th minute, while Kiril Despodov scored the Bulgarian team's only goal in the 60th minute. Earlier in the day, the Croatian and Slovenian teams tied 1-1 in the international friendly match that brought them together at Education City Stadium. The four teams will reappear next Tuesday, where the Croatian team will meet its Bulgarian counterpart, while the Qatari team will play Slovenia. (QNA)
