Newspapers: HH the Amir's Speech Opens Wide Horizons for Rich Discussions During Doha Forum
Doha, March 27 (QNA) - In their Sunday editorials, Qatari newspapers highlighted HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's speech during the 20th edition of Doha Forum, held under the theme "Transformation into a New Era."
The newspapers said that HH the Amir's speech opens wide horizons for rich dialogue and discussions during the Forum, which since its launch, has turned into an international dialogue platform between intellectual leaders, specialists and decision-makers around the world.
The newspapers pointed out that His Highness's speech carried many important contents and messages that constitute constants in the country's strategy at the local and global levels.
The papers noted that HH the Amir's speech received wide global attention as it includes comprehensive vision towards the challenges facing the world, which is going through a delicate stage, and expresses the State of Qatar's positions in many regional and international issues.
They also expressed hope that HH's speech would constitute a real beginning for the return of global awareness of the importance of dialogue as the best way to achieve international peace and security, away from war and weapons, which have produced nothing but destruction, death and devastation throughout history.
Al-Sharq daily said that HH the Amir's speech reflects a vision for the future that His Highness personally works for, which is the era of peace, security and coexistence for all, the era in which all people can access their basic needs in education, health, water resources, and living with dignity, and where they can fulfil themselves and exercise their lifestyle and cultures.
The newspaper underlined that HH's vision represents the core of the State of Qatar's policies and the role the country plays in the international arena, through its successful mediation efforts to resolve disputes by peaceful means, and its investment of the experiences it had in serving peace, stability and just solutions to disputes, as well as its active role in terms of accelerating the implementation of the development agenda and confronting climate change, and its prominent participation through multilateral international cooperation to address the major challenges facing the world.
HH the Amir was clear in his speech, as he warns that the world today has reached a pivotal stage on all political, economic, environmental, and social levels, and this stage requires radical revisions, whether at the level of the environment and climate change or at the societal level and people's livelihood, as the social and economic gap among states is indicative of a serious defect in the overall economies, or on the political and security level, as there is a contraction in the political and diplomatic means in favor of military expansion and armed solutions.
In conclusion, Al-Sharq said that the catastrophic repercussions of the challenges facing the world today require a serious and real position by the international community to determine the future of the international order, in a manner that achieves peace, security, stability, equity, dignity and goodness for all humanity and guarantees a prosperous future for generations to come.
For its part, Al-Watan newspaper said in its Sunday editorial that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, under his gracious patronage at the opening of the 20th edition of Doha Forum, held under the theme "Transformation into a New Era," at the Doha Sheraton, where he delivered a speech in which he addressed the challenges facing the world today at a pivotal stage at all levels, political, economic, environmental and social.
The newspaper pointed out that His Highness warned in his speech against the exclusionary populist voices in a time of societal tensions and economic recession, pointing out that one of these exclusionary phenomena that have increased in recent years is the phenomenon of Islamophobia. HH the Amir emphasized in his speech the need to take a firm and serious stand against it, such as the one witnessed by the world when it took a stand against racial discrimination and anti-Semitism.
