Salman bin Mohammed receives International Kick-Boxing Federation President, International Power Boating Federation President

Manama, Mar. 28 (BNA): HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Combat Sports Council has received Roy Baker, President of the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) and Raffaele Chiulli, President of Union Internationale Motonautique (the International Power Boating Federation). The meeting was attended by Dr Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, Mr Ahmed Khalid Al Wazan, President of Bahrain Kickboxing Muay Thai Federation and Mr Mohammed Shahid, President of KHK Sports. At the beginning of the meeting, HH Shaikh Salman welcomed the guests and conveyed to them the greetings of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and His Highness' best wishes for continued success. Moreover, HH Shaikh Salman praised the efforts exerted by the WAKO in support of the members in order to develop the international kickboxing sport. Meanwhile, His Highness discussed with Mr Baker ways of cooperation and coordination to upgrade the Bahraini kickboxing sport. From their side, the WAKO President and the President of the Union Internationale Motonautique expressed their happiness at the development being witnessed in the sports in Bahrain, praising the Kingdom's efforts toward hosting major events. They also hailed the support and backing of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to sports and sportspeople. Furthermore, they lauded the follow-up of HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
