Qatar's Ministry of Social Development and Family Inaugurates Second Annual Exhibition of Private Associations, Institutions

Doha, March 29 (QNA) - Ministry of Social Development and Family inaugurated Tuesday the Second Annual Exhibition of Private Associations and Institutions in cooperation with the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs represented by the General Administration of Endowments and Qatar Charity. The opening of the exhibition, which was held under the slogan "My Association in Community Service", was attended by HE Minister of Social Development and Family Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad and several officials of the organizing agencies, and representatives of the 20 institutions participating in the exhibition. Assistant Undersecretary for Social Affairs Mubarak Ghanem Al Kuwari said that the Ministry of Social Development and the Family, represented by the Department of Private Associations and Institutions, through the second exhibition seeks to organize voluntary social work, activate social participation, raise the level of societys knowledge of private associations and institutions, advancing their role, and obtaining distinguished outputs from the exhibition that benefit society. Al Kuwari affirmed that the exhibition reflects the role played by private associations and institutions through social responsibility, whether between the public and private sectors and civil society organizations, pointing out that the success of the First Exhibition of Private Associations and Institutions in 2019, reinforced the continuity of such exhibitions that organize voluntary social work and activate social participation. For his part, the Director of the Private Associations and Institutions Department at the Ministry Naji Abd Rabbo Al Aji stated that the Second Annual Exhibition of Private Associations and Institutions 2022 aims to inform the community about the services provided by associations and their goals and activities. It is also considered an arena for dialogue between civil society organizations and members of society, noting that the exhibition aims to encourage and motivate civil society organizations to make outstanding efforts and achieve distinguished achievements in sustainable development, supporting and encouraging social and voluntary work in all social fields, activating community participation, and strengthening and expanding the responsibilities of the roles of effective social partnership between state institutions and civil society institutions, leading to the advancement of social responsibility towards society. Al Ajmi also pointed out that the exhibition seeks to encourage innovation and creativity in the programs and services provided by private associations and institutions to reach pioneering projects that qualify them to compete at the external level.
