Yemen to partake in 1st conference of GPU

SANA'A, May 26 (Saba) - Yemen is to participate in in the 1st General Conference of Gulf Press Union (GPU) and meeting of GPU's General Assembly to be held next Wednesday in Bahrain capital, Manama.

Printing and Publishing Foundation, Head of Yemeni participating delegation Ali
al-Ra'wi made clear that the meeting will discuss the coming strategy of GPU and
electing a new general assembly.

Al-Ra'wi pointed out that the conference will allow discussing the possibility of
exchanging the journalistic experiences between the media foundations participating
in the conference.

On the conference's sideline, the Yemeni delegation, which includes editors in chief
of official newspapers ,will hold a meeting with Bahraini Prime Minister to discuss
cooperation issues between the media institutions in the Gulf and Yemen, al-Ra'wi
indicated.
