Lots of Study Tour Groups Visit Revolutionary Battle Sites and Historic Sites in Mt Paektu Area

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The revolutionary battle sites and historic sites in the area of Mt Paektu are now visited by people every day in the run-up to the Day of the Sun, the auspicious national holiday. Recent visitors included officials and working people and youth and students in Samjiyon city people's committee, Samjiyon University of Technology, city people's hospital and Junghung Farm. They paid floral tribute to the mosaic in Sobaeksu valley picturing the peerlessly great persons. Looking round the native home of Chairman Kim Jong Il in the secret camp in Mt Paektu, they recalled in deep emotion the revolutionary career of the Chairman who rose as a shining star over Mt Paektu and made great achievements for the country, people, times and history. At the headquarters log cabin by which the red flag of the revolution flutters high, they deeply grasped the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung who led the anti-Japanese revolutionary war to victory. They also toured the shore of Lake Samji and a group of subsidiary theme sculptures, being briefed about the wonderful construction of the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Sites as a center for education in the revolutionary traditions. They headed for Chongbong Bivouac, Konchang Bivouac and Rimyongsu Revolutionary Historic Site, recalling the great efforts exerted by our Party to turn the area into an extensive open-air museum for education in the revolutionary traditions. -0-
