QNA Participates in Marking World Autism Awareness Day

Doha, April 02 (QNA) - Qatar News Agency (QNA) joined the ministries, authorities and public institutions in the State in marking the World Autism Awareness Day, which is an internationally recognized day on April 2 every year. QNA lighted its building in Al-Dafna area in blue light to highlight awareness of autism and the importance of taking care of autistic people and providing them with the best care conditions. QNA's participation in the celebration stems from its belief in the importance of spreading awareness and education about autism, and emphasizes the importance of integrating and empowering autistic people to become a positive addition in the comprehensive development process that the State of Qatar seeks and approved in its National Vision 2030. April 2 of each year is designated as the World Autism Awareness Day, based on a proposal submitted by the State of Qatar and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution issued on December 18, 2007.
