Al-Watan, Al-Raya Highlight Proactive Readiness of Qatar's Health Sector for any Circumstances

Doha, April 12 (QNA) - Qatari dailies Al-Watan and Al-Raya affirmed in their editorials Tuesday that the health sector in the State of Qatar is ready for any circumstances due to its expertise, experience, commitment, and solidarity of the healthcare system in the country to achieve the desired goals. The news papers underlined the preparations that precede the country's hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, where healthcare workers will have a very important role in the tournament. In its editorial, Al-Watan said that the health system in Qatar works to respond to any pandemic or abnormal health situation in a proactive and preparatory manner in a scientific approach to any exceptional circumstances through a strong system in which all parties in the country participate. Thanks to its proactive plans to address the COVID-19 pandemic, the State of Qatar managed to overcome three waves of the pandemic, through a methodology based on a scientific and cooperative approach among all government agencies, local and international partnerships, and community participation, the papers pointed out. It noted that healthcare teams in the State of Qatar have been preparing for the World Cup for many years, and they also have great experience in participating in hosting major events and mass gatherings. The healthcare teams in Qatar have extensive experience in providing healthcare services during major public events and gatherings in the State of Qatar, and are ready to meet the requirements of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the paper added. The Healthcare teams have previously participated in many major tournaments and events hosted by the State of Qatar, including the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019, the World Athletics Championships 2019, and the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, the paper said. In conclusion, Al-Watan said that the State of Qatar's health sector has proven a great ability to confront the COVID-19 pandemic, and limit the spread of the virus, while maintaining the system of providing usual health care services to all members of society, continuing to develop the health system, and opening new medical facilities that provide quality care. Al-Raya daily underlined that the State of Qatar is witnessing a comprehensive renaissance in various fields and at all levels, and perhaps the most prominent manifestations of its renaissance is its leadership in the health sector not only at the local level, but also at the global level, as Qatar leads the countries of the world in the quality of health services, based on the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in developing the health sector which is a fundamental pillar in the renaissance of the country and one of the most important aspects of Qatar National Vision 2030. The newspaper stressed that the national initiatives came to enhance the experiences of health care cadres with regard to providing health care services during mass human gatherings, as part of the health sector's preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which is one of the World's major sport events.
