HH National Security Advisor attends unveiling of HM Queen Elizabeth II's statue at RMAS

London, May 27 (BNA): National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today paid a visit to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) in the UK, where he met HH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and son of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and RMAS Commandant, Major-General Duncan Capps. HH Shaikh Nasser attended the unveiling of the statue of HM Queen Elizabeth II at the RMAS, as part of platinum jubilee celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of HM’s Accession to the Throne. HH the National Security Advisor affirmed the depth of the long-standing friendship relations between the two kingdoms, which are growing steadily at all levels, especially regarding the exchange of expertise and cooperation in the military. HH Shaikh also met a number of Bahraini candidate officers studying at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, wishing them every success in their studies, and urging them to benefit from the prestigious academy’s military programmes and professional training. HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the major role played by the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in preparing qualified officers and honing their skills so as to be able to cope with the latest technological development in various military sciences. Bahraini Ambassador to the UK, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, was present.
