Interior Minister receives 5th Fleet Commander

Manama, June 5 (BNA): Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command, US 5th Fleet and Combined Maritime Forces, Vice-Admiral Brad Cooper. Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan attended. The Interior Minister welcomed the US officials, hailing the strategic historical ties between the two countries and dedication to enhancing relations for the best interests of both sides. Meanwhile, the US Commander valued the distinguished coordination between the two countries in exchanging expertise and information. Security cooperation to promote joint operations were reviewed during the meeting.
