Interior Minister stresses support to Yemen’s stability

Manama, Jun 9 (BNA): Head of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi has today paid a visit to the Ministry of Interior. He was received by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Head of National Intelligence Agency, Public Security Chief, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary and the Inspector General. The Minister of Interior hailed strong historic relations binding the two countries and peoples, stressing Bahrain’s keenness on Yemen’s security and stability. Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa stressed readiness to provide all types of support regarding training programmes, in order to contribute to maintaining Yemen’s security and stability. The two sides reviewed key security issues within the framework of strengthening cooperation and coordination and improving performance to meet security challenges and rapid changes on the regional and international arenas. They also discussed a number of programs offered by the Ministry of the Interior in the field of enhancing security and preserving national identity. These include the program to combat violence and addiction "Together", the alternative sentencing program, and moving forward with the implementation of the initiatives of the national plan to enhance national belonging and consolidate the values of citizenship.
