Bahrain achieves full mark, qualifies for AFC Asian Cup 2023

Kuala Lumpur, June 14 (BNA): Bahrain defeated Turkmenistan 1-0 to secure its position as winners of Group E and qualify for the AFC Asian Cup 2023. Abdullah Yusuf scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute after goalkeeper Mammet Orazmuhammedov fouled Ali Madan who was dribbling his way into the area. Bahrain beat Bangladesh 2-0 in the opening match of Group E’s games and Malaysia 2-1 in the second match.
