HM King, Egyptian President hold official talks

Manama, June 28 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today held official talks with Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attended the session of talks, held at the Al-Sakhir Palace today.
HM the King and President El-Sisi reviewed the solid fraternal Bahraini-Egyptian relations, and ways to further bolster the strategic cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
HM King Hamad welcomed the visit of the kingdom’s distinguished guest, reflecting the specificity of the outstanding bilateral relations and embodying the keenness of the two countries’ leaderships on constant communication, coordination and consultation on various regional issues of mutual interest so as to the interests of the two countries and the issues of the Arab Nation.
HM the King commended the major role played by the Egyptian expatriate community in Bahrain, citing its members’ competence and contributions to the kingdom’s development process, affirming that the deep-rooted Bahraini-Egyptian relations will continue to flourish.
HM the King and President El-Sisi expressed their pride in the long-standing ties between Bahrain and Egypt and in their robust joint cooperation, confirming their keenness to broaden areas of bilateral cooperation.
HM King Hamad lauded the pioneering progress march currently witnessed by Egypt thanks to the approach adopted by President El-Sisi, praising Egypt’s numerous vital projects and landmark achievements across various fields.
HM the King also praised Egypt’s pivotal role, as the cornerstone of security and stability in the region, highlighting its commendable efforts in championing the Arab causes and enhancing joint Arab action in the face of the challenges faced by the region.
The Egyptian President expressed his delight at the visit which, he said, confirms the depth of the fraternal relations and interconnectedness between the two countries.
He said: “We are always keen on holding such meetings in order to enhance cooperation between our two brotherly countries across various fields.”
