Qatar Participates in World Urban Forum

Katowice, June 29 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participates in the 11th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF11) in Katowice, the Republic of Poland, from 26-30 June. Qatar is represented in the forum by a delegation from the Ministry of Municipality, headed by Assistant Undersecretary for Urban Planning Affairs Eng. Fahd Mohammed Al Qahtani. The forum will discuss the main strategies available to implement the new global urban and urban agenda, the legal frameworks, and the urban and regional planning frameworks that are being developed in the participating countries to direct the transformation of cities towards a sustainable future, as well as regional and sub-regional governmental mechanisms (structural and local) with friendly countries, in addition to supporting investments for the transformation of cities to reach a sustainable urban future.
