BOC Vice President praises Bahrain’s basketball achievement

Manama, July 6 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Vice President His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa received the national basketball team at Bahrain International Aiport. The national team returned to the Kingdom of Bahrain after taking part in the 2023 FIBA World Basketball Cup qualifiers, which was held in Kazakhstan. The reception was organized by Bahrain Olympic Committee today was also attended by BOC Secretary-General Fares Al Kooheji, Bahrain Basketball Association Chairman Waleed Al Alawi, SCYS Advisor Mohammed Al Ajami. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali praised the national squad which made history, after reaching the final phase of the 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifiers and ranking among the top 12 teams in Asia. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, hailing the royal care for sports in Bahrain, with the follow-up olf His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also praised the support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and SCYS Chairman and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, SCYS First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chair and BOC President.
