Speaker receives US Ambassador

Manama, July 24 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received US Ambassador to Bahrain, Steven C. Bondy. The two parties reviewed Bahraini-US relations and discussed ways of exchanging parliamentary expertise. Zainal affirmed the historical Bahraini-US relations, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to achieve common interests. She commended the role of the legislative branche in developing the legal system and updating and developing legislation that would advance bilateral relations in the financial, investment, and trade exchange sectors. The ambassador stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral relations in all fields.
