Qatar's Al Athba Wins Silver Medal at 10th Asian Shotgun Championship

Almaty (Kazakhstan), July 31 (QNA) - The Qatari national team's shooter Rashid Hamad Al-Athba won the silver medal at the 10th Asian Shotgun Championship currently held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Al-Athba's silver medal came after he performed well in the competition, where he managed to achieve a target rate of 27/35 points, to take second place in the overall ranking of the competition, which saw the participation of the top eight shooters. The Qatari shooter won the second place behind his Kuwaiti counterpart Naser Al-Meqlad, who took the first place and the gold medal, who achieved a target rate of 31/35 points, in the final qualifying of the competition. The bronze medal went to the Chinese shooter Yu Haicheng, who took the third place in the semifinals, behind Al-Meqlad and Al-Athba with a target rate of 21/35 points. The first qualifiers for the competition witnessed the superiority of Al-Athba after achieving a target rate of 21/25 points and took first place, while Al-Meqlad came in second place with a target rate of 18/25 points.
