Nearly 7,000 civil servants and students in Ho Chi Minh City joined a walk
HCM City (VNA) – Nearly 7,000 civil servants and students in Ho Chi Minh City
joined a walk on May 31 to raise funds for workers suffering fatal diseases.
The walk, launched by the Ho Chi Minh City Labour Federation, was one of the
activities in response to the Workers’ Month from May 1-31 under theme “For
Employment and Workers’ Life”.
Nearly 700 million VND raised from the walk will be donated to local workers who
suffer cancer and heart diseases or other incurable diseases.
The city reported over 880 workers suffering fatal illness who are in need of
financial support for their treatment.-Enditem
