Characters from “Magic letters” congratulated children

Astana, June 02, 2009 (Khabar) - Characters from “Magic letters” TV programme on Yel Arna channel congratulated children on 1st of June in Astana. They presented many surprises to children – many played, sang and solved riddles. The TV programme has been in existence for two years. This is a an educational show where presenters teach children phrases, words, the alphabet and numbers in three languages – Kazakh, Russian and English. “Magic letters” help children differentiate good and bad things as well as to respect older people and love their homeland.

Together with the main characters from the TV programme, the children were solving riddles, saying proverbs, dancing and playing. Many of them received books as presents. The project author shared her opinion about the future plans.

Lyudmila Kirilinskaya, director, “Shikula” publishing house:
- We are now making a cartoon about a trilingual kingdom. We have already done a Kazakh alphabet cartoon. We have scripts for another two programmes, which we hope, will be released soon.
