Qatar Football Association President Participates in CAF General Assembly Meeting

Arusha, August 10 (QNA) - HE President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani participated Wednesday in the 44th edition of the General Assembly of the African Football Confederation (CAF), which was held in Arusha, Tanzania. The participation of the QFA President in Wednesday's meeting came at the invitation of CAF President South African Patrice Motsepe and was also attended by President of FIFA Gianni Infantino. On the sidelines of the CAF Congress meeting, QFA President met with Prime Minister of Tanzania Kassim Majaliwa and talked about the importance of sport and football, and its role in the rapprochement between peoples and the meeting of various civilizations. At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged souvenirs, and HE the QFA President presented the number 22 shirt of the first Qatari national team to the Prime Minister of Tanzania. HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani also met with a number of football leaders, exchanging visions and ideas related to this game, as well as Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at the end of this year.
