5th Islamic Solidarity Games Concludes

Konya, August 19 (QNA) - The Qatari delegation wrapped up Thursday its participation in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, which concluded in Konya, Turkey, with the participation of 54 countries representing four continents. The Qatari mission won 12 medals, including four gold, three silver, and five bronze, making this participation the most prominent for Qatar in its participation in the Islamic Solidarity Games. Turkey topped the ranking of participating countries with 341 medals followed by Uzbekistan in second place and Iran in third. The competitions started on August 5, but the official opening ceremony took place on August 9. Qatar's delegation included 112 male and female athletes in 14 team and individual games. (QNA)
