Qatar's Handball Juniors to Play Against Iraq in Asian Championship on Tuesday

Manama, August 22 (QNA) - Qatar's handball national juniors team will play Tuesday with Iraq in both sides' third game in Group B in the Asian Championship currently held in Bahrain and runs through Aug. 31. Qatar's juniors seek to restore victories after their Saturday 24-27 loss to Saudi Arabia. They defeated the UAE 36-22 in their debut match. Also on Monday, Kuwait will clash with Saudi Arabia and Japan will face the UAE in Group B, while in Group A South Korea and Iran will compete against India and Uzbekistan respectively. The top five teams will qualify for the 2023 World Cup in Croatia. Qatar were crowned champions in 2010 and 2012, the same number of trophies won by South Korea and Bahrain. (QNA)
