Deputy Prime Minister receives Italian ambassador

Manama, Aug. 23 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa receives Italian Ambassador to Bahrain, Paola Amadi. The deputy prime minister praised the distinguished bilateral relations. He stressed the keenness to enhance cooperation on the economic level. The meeting reviewed trade exchange between the two countries, which amounts to about $400 million, especially in importing and exporting aluminum and food, and promoting tourism activities. The two parties hailed the role of Bahraini-Italian Business Council. The ambassador expressed her appreciation to the deputy prime minister for his interest and stressed her country’s aspiration to strengthen trade and economic cooperation by encouraging expertise and creating promising opportunities for investment.
