LMRA CEO receives US ambassador

Manama, Aug. 24 (BNA): Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) CEO Nouf Abdulrahman Jamsheer received U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain, Steven C. Bondy. She affirmed Bahrain's keenness to implement initiatives that contribute to developing the work environment and ensuring protection for the rights of workers. Jamsheer praised the distinguished Bahraini-US relations and strategic partnership for decades. The two parties discussed enhancing cooperation to combat trafficking in persons and developing the skills and capabilities of national cadres. The meeting reviewed the most prominent initiatives of the LMRA to develop the work environment. The ambassador praised the Kingdom’s role in labor protection and combating trafficking in persons, noting that Bahrain has maintained in the first category in the U.S. annual Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report, for five consecutive years.
