Qatar Follows Developments in Libya with Great Concern, Calls for Settlement of Differences through Dialogue

Doha, August 27 (QNA) - The State of Qatar announced that it is following with great concern the current developments in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, calling on all parties to avoid escalation, stem bloodshed, give priority to the voice of wisdom and the interests of the brotherly Libyan people, and settle differences through dialogue. In a statement today, the Foreign Ministry stressed the need for the Libyan parties to work to ensure the protection of civilians and facilities, and to consider this a top priority. The Ministry reiterated Qatar's full support for the Libyan political path, the relevant Security Council resolutions, and all peaceful solutions that preserve Libya's unity, stability, and sovereignty, and achieve the aspirations of its brotherly people for development and prosperity.
