New policy on land management to take into enforce this year

(KPL) A new policy on land and natural resource management of the National Land Management Authority will be identified clearly plot of land for concession in order to prevent the invasion of forest conservation areas and people’s real estate.
The new policy is expected to be proclaimed for public use at the end of this year.
Mr Ounheuan Sayachak, Deputy Head of Policy and Land Using Inspection Department, said that the land tax tariff in the new policy would be existed.
“The new policy will assist in management of the land concession and it will not invade to the forest conservation and people’s land areas,” he said. “Although many legal involving to the use of land and natural resource take into enforce, it seemed to be ineffective over the past years”.
He continued that the new policy is being approved due to many land concession projects invaded many the forest reserve areas and people’s land over the past years.
He added that the number of land lease for concession nationwide has not so far been surveyed.
National Land Management Authority (NLMA) classified three kinds of land titles including private land title, collective land and land of state.
This is aimed to ensure the privilege of land owners and people, he said.
NLMA would cooperate with authorities of district, province and relevant ministries to inspect the land concession before leasing the land for the concession projects, he said.
