“Tan Sholpan” contest

Pavlodar, June 03, 2009 (Khabar) - Hundreds of young dancers from orphanages of the country have arrived in Pavlodar for the 4th republic’s competition of talented children entitled “Tan Sholpan”. All the costumes were made at the workshop of the children’s home. Our girls are capable of many things, stated Mikhail Matsura proudly. He worries about the competition more than the upcoming common national testing as he is confident in his knowledge of the school program. Instructors of the orphanage say that Misha is not only a good dancer but he also likes exact sciences.

Mikhail Matsura, pupil, Michurino Orphanage:
- We hope to win as we’re performing for the last time. One has to take everything easy and everything will turn out great.

Ryspek Nurtanov, direcotor, Michurino Orphanage:
- We have a tradition of leaving something behind us. Previously, graduates were engaged in making a hockey court and this year they are organizing a shooting gallery. And now as we won the regional “Tan Sholpan” competition, we will be representing our region in the country. Therefore we’ve set a task for other children by saying that we foster only winners.

Zhumazhan Zhukenov, children rights protection committee, Ministry for Education and Science of RK:
- We conduct various contests among children at orphanages. They really show their creative capabilities and only the best teams of our regions will come to Pavlodar.

During the breaks between performances an interesting cultural program will be provided for the children as young artist will visit the best museums of Pavlodar, historical monuments and have an outing on Irtysh riverside.
