Finance and National Economy hails Bahrain-Maldives ties

Manama, Sept. 3 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa received Maldives Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer and Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Technology Aminath Shauna. The meeting was also attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Sustainable Development Minister Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Riyadh-based Maldives Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mohamed Khaleel and other officials. The Minister of Finance and National Economy reviewed bilateral relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Maldives, noting joint cooperation in all fields. He stressed Bahrain’s keenness on developing economic ties with the Republic of the Maldives and further supporting bilateral relations in order to achieve common interests. During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of joint cooperation and coordination, in addition to other key issues of common interest. The Maldives delegation expressed sincere thanks to the Minister of Finance and National Economy, hailing his continued keenness on supporting economic ties and wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
