Undersecretary for Political Affairs discusses cooperation with Macdonald-Laurier Institute in Canada Ottawa, Sept. 16 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, held a meeting today with top researchers at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, during his official visit to Ottawa. The meeting reviewed means to enhance bilateral cooperation in scientific research, expand intellectual partnerships and exchange views on international political, security and economic issues and developments. The top researchers in attendance were the Director of the Foreign Policy and National Security Program, Shuvaloy Majumdar and the Indo-Pacific Program Director, Jonathan Berkshire Miller and Senior Fellow, Dr. Balkan Devlen. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah highlighted Bahrain†s aim to enhance cooperation and exchange research and scientific experiences with intellectual centers and institutions in Canada and around the world, towards further development regionally and internationally. The top researchers expressed their pleasure with the visit of the Bahraini delegation to Canada, and their enthusiasm to expand bilateral cooperation in the research and scientific areas. They also highlighted participation in events in order to meet the objectives of the two countries to consolidate security, peace and global prosperity.
