Azerbaijani FM attends ministerial meeting of OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir

Baku, September 22, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has participated in the ministerial meeting of the Contact Group of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Jammu and Kashmir on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. Delivering a speech, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed Azerbaijan's support for the peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir issue in accordance with the norms and principles of international law, as well as the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council. The usefulness of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir as a mechanism for reviewing the status of OIC members on fulfillment of their obligations arising from relevant OIC decisions was expressed. During the speech, the FM emphasized the importance of the peaceful resolution of all issues related to Jammu and Kashmir for ensuring peace and security in South Asia.
